Bio

I was born and raised in South Africa, but have spent the majority of my adult life in the UK. In 2020, I founded ImpactWild to harness the power of film and television to protect and preserve our planet’s incredible nature and biodiversity. With a career spanning more than fifteen years in both independent and mainstream natural history and conservation film & television – most notably with National Geographic and the BBC Natural History Unit – I have long operated at the intersection of film and television, conservation and impact production. As a result, I understand the screen industry well, whilst also having spent a lot of time working on the front line with local communities, conservation organisations and government institutions, globally. I’m driven by crafting powerful impact strategies that create lasting environmental change - and unlock the many societal benefits that come with it.
